The wineries in Temecula are located near each other. It is very easy to just drive yourself from one winery to the next....and be sure to enjoy lunch or dinner at Cafe Champagne, which is at Thornton Winery or at Ponte Family.

Many people like to taste wine at Wilson Creek and love their almond champagne. If you like Port, Palomar has a great one. I enjoy lots of the wines at Wiens. South Coast has beautiful romantic grounds.

Some of the wineries in Temecula have coupons that allow 2 people to taste wine for the price of 1. These coupons are free at:
The same website also has information on all of the Temecula wineries with links to each winery's website.

Have fun!

Your best bet is to get in on a wine tour. They do the driving and you can visit 3 or 4 wineries and not have to worry about driving, directions, how much you've drunk, or having to decide which winery.
If you're looking for a particular winery to visit, I'd recommend Mount Palomar, Wilson Creek, Thornton, or Bailey.
Here's some really good info for finding out what else is available:
You can book a winery shuttle here:
Depending on how much you want to spend, you can also do limo tours, too.
