I don’t know much of what kind of red wine to drink and how to store it or pretty much anything that goes with drinking red wine. I just started to drink wine and gave up drinking beer and hard liquors. Just want to drink wine to WIND me down from a hectic day of work.

I usually drink red wine with beef and italian foods.
Green Mountain. It comes from the valley of the Green Mountain, just south of Adelaide
Robert Mondavi’s Cabernet Sauvignon is great tasting, usually mellow and reasonably priced; Pinot Noir is a little spicier red wine; Syrah/Shiraz can be mellow and easy drinking; I’m not a huge fan of merlot. Try several different vintners and grapes out to find one that suits your taste buds the best. Thats what my husband and I do. Enjoy!
A Meritage is a great wine – it’s a blend of reds, like Merlot and Cabernet or Shiraz. It’s a great sipping wine that doesn’t require a good to help it go down like Chianti.
I love pinot noir! Its mild a little sweet and very tasty.
Merlot by Bogle, it’s inexpensive but is really good. Also try a Shiraz by Rosemont. Those two are my favorite. Pinot Noir is much lighter than these two so it depends you.
) just a thought.
Not sure how into it you are, but a winery with some friends might be a fun way for you try variety of different wines
It depends on the reds that you like, but my personal favorites are Red Zinfandels – a little heavier & meatier, or Pinot Noirs, which are a little lighter. The new syrah and shiraz are really nice, too…you are just going to have to try a few, everyone has different tastes in wine.
You can really do reds with so much food anymore…I think people are moving away from the old red or white rules. Personally, I will take a red with almost anything, over a white.
