I’m pretty sure I know a big source of the whole Bob Marley confusion with this song: UB40 has two versions of this song–the rap version, and the non-rap version, and many probably just assume one group wouldn’t have made both versions. And it’s impossible to find ANY information ANYWHERE about who the rapper is for the rap version of the song, so without any other idea who the rapper is, Bob Marley just gets constant credit, since no one knows the actual answer.
