a 1 star for censoring “tits”
nosh is actually a yiddishim (Yiddish= German(ic) dialect spoken by European Yews). It stems from German “naschen”, meaning: Having something small and sweet (e.g. for dessert) or nibbling at something like cookie dough.
Posh = snobby, pretentious
Nosh = working class slang for food.
So you have a deliberate ironic juxtaposition (= putting two words together that don’t really go) – plus it’s catchy and it rhymes.
“And on the finish…that characteristic hint of petrol…” lol I love Simon!
shut the **** up you complete arse
I know this is a silly question… but i was just wondering why its called posh nosh.
anyone know?
Yes, but don’t Bordeaux bottles have a crimped carbundulum, traditionally, to allow greater frimerity in the long tannins? My last one did.
My god, we have wine snobs criticising the shape of bottle or the way the glass is held. Don’t you realise this programme takes the **** out of you people?
“What? Yes.”
Umm, that’s part of the joke. Also if you know much about wine you’ll recognise that as a Bordeaux bottle – German Riesling bottles are invariably taller and thinner.
Richard is tea total in real life – he is allergic to alcohol.
I really REALLY hope that you took this seriously, because it would be the only thing funnier than Posh Nosh
lol, funny stuff
lol… this guy doesn’t even hold the wine glass properly – a giveway that he doen’t know much about wine
“Like school boys . . . “
Freshly mowed grass XD Simon kills me =P I adoooore Posh Nosh!
Ha ha, I love Posh Nosh and I loved when he did the alcohol sampling! ‘Food without wine. What’s that? It’s absurd.’ XD
