Bob Marley died in 81. UB40 didnt cover the song until 83. I think it was Ziggy Marley who performed with them on concert.

This version is really touching, you can feel the heartbreaking in his voice… UB40′s version sounds like a happy song compared to this… nothing wrong with it, but the mood that Neil sets is totally different
