wie weet de titel van een song met zee en vogelgeluiden, was niet 1 van zijn grootste hits was de favoriete song iverleden vriend willen graag draaien crematie.hoop dat iemand weet welke bedoeld wordt bedankt alvast
The UB40 one is more upbeat, the one that I had first heard. The Neil Diamond one is probably one I’d actually be drinking red wine with
wow…im just so used to the UB40 version
both versions are good and some people like ub40’s version and some people like diamond’s version better. wel what’s the problem?
UB40 version is better
I have been to see a Neil Diamond Tribute Show, called America The Diamond Experience? – phenomenal, google search their name to see for yourself
hey both versions are good and the song goes more with the reggae beat although this version is good to…im not trying to to say the reggae version is better but everyone has a different taste…so please stop giving people **** for not having the same opinion…
yeah, you’re right, mothchild88! @hairyasshole2 is just like his name. This song is timeless, gorgeous, not really meant to be some upbeat reggae song. Reggae rocks, but this song is best when it hurts….
@backslash68 He sings it the way it supposed to be, since he wrote it. Bittersweet and somber. It matches perfectly.
@CreepysFan You tell’m!
@hairyasshole2 You fuckin idiot. The song is ment to be bittersweet and sort of sad. Its not some happy upbeat shitty song. read the fuckin lyrics. Neil is god.
If he hadn’t written it…. there would be no other versions.
Mmm like the world isnt depressing already, i dont like sad, slow and miserable songs. UB40 thank you for turning this set of depressing words into a real song.
Neil is amazing, the copy-cats don’t even come close.
“Red Red Wine” is a song written and originally recorded by Neil Diamond.
Just seen all the comments below:
THIS IS A NEIL DIAMOND SONG! He wrote it, he sang it, it’s his!!! Damn!
What do you mean ‘this version’!!??? this is the original, Neil wrote it! it is his song!!! all of the others are versions!!!!shit!
This version is really touching, you can feel the heartbreaking in his voice… UB40’s version sounds like a happy song compared to this… nothing wrong with it, but the mood that Neil sets is totally different
I tell you what – you want to hear this in up beat – go down the street – me i’m gonna stay right here get drunk and wallow with Neil in the place where he created his song…….
Neil rocks. I was checking out UB40 and had to hear Him sing it.
: )
Bob Marley died in 81. UB40 didnt cover the song until 83. I think it was Ziggy Marley who performed with them on concert.
