you’re lucky if you have the original 45. I guess that it’s the B side of one of her hits….glad that someone discovered it.
Well…that’s great!! thanks for the info, obviously he wrote quite a memorable tune. In fact I think I have this buried in a stack of 45s in my basement. A unique song for a unique time. He still sounds like a hungover El Paso cowpuncher, but a cool one at that.

the begining of this video is kinda creepy. her head looks backwards to her body, then she swings her head back and forth.

Where the heck did they find Lee Hazelwood anyway? Dang if he doesn’t sound like some shit-kickin refugee from a West Texas Honky Tonk who has been smoking Marlboros since he was six! I’m surprised he hasn’t died of throat cancer yet. But hey, the 60s were the time for the mystique of the “Marlboro Man” and he fit the bill for the roaming troubadour backing up Nancy “Boots” Sinatra.

There aren’t many songs where the cover is better than the original version, however I like the version of ville valo and nathalia avelon way more than this one.
