I am sucky at opening wine bottles and yet again, had to push the cork into the wine. So there were bits of cork in our wine. Is it dangerous to drink cork? Will I die?

No, if You drink any bits of cork, they’ll just pass through your body.

not dangerous, but, you could pour the wine through a strainer before it hits your glass….

Its harmless, but here’s an interesting side-note…
About 10% of corked wine is, well, what they call “corked”. The cork carries a compound called TCA in it, which spoils the wine. If you ever have a bottle that is musty tasting, or you can’t taste it at all, it is likely “corked.”
With that said, you will not become “corked,” don’t worry.

no you wont die. unless you chock on it. cork is from a tree so its all natural.
1st – get yourself a really nice wine opener so this doesn’t happen again. And make sure you ***** the squirrel (the metal screw) all the way down into the cork. Pull frimly but not at an angle, keep it straight.
2nd- if you do get cork bits in the bottle just strain it through a coffee filter or a metal strainer.

Yes it is very dangerous. The effects are subtle at first because they are cumulative. Over a period of time (and continued exposure) you may expect neurological deficits followed by sudden cardiovascular collapse. Please, by all means do not consume wine cork. If you suspect contamination, then please filter your drink through a sieve. And please remember to drink responsibly.
