In wine-tasting, what’s the difference between aroma, and nose?

Matt asked:
I know wine-tasters often take a gentle sniff of the wine they’re drinking before they actually taste it. I’ve heard of wine described as having a “nutty nose.” How do nose and aroma actually differ?
Thanks guys! I always thought there was a difference, but I guess not.
