Here in Spain it costs nothing. If you go to a bodega and have a tour it often ends with a tasting of the wines, but as yet I’ve never had to pay.
depending on where you are located of course makes the difference…most wineries have several varietals to taste at “no charge”, and they have tastings that they charge for…for example, reserves and limited varietals. it is always appropriate to leave a tip for your server.
