How long does white wine last?
It’s a bottle that’s 25 years old, It’s been kept in a cabinet for that long, it’s been in room temperature all this time, expect for like a few weeks were we went out-of-town and it got 90+ inside the house. Is the whine still good? It’s a Asti Spumante, Naturally Sparkling White Wine.
I’ll add details for any questions.

It’s probably best as a conversation piece now… Most Asti’s are meant to be drunk in their first year or two of life. They don’t age well.
It’s a nostalgia piece from the 80′s.
Only Bordeaux, some Burgundies and other blends mature and increase in both value and complexity of flavour. Some champagnes are cellared too, that’s actually not that common as you’d think. There is no real advantage to cellar pure varietals (merlot, pinot noir, cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc, syrah/shiraz). Whites are almost never cellared. Pure varietals, most champagne and whites are meant to be drank within the year.
Asti Spumante was a low quality sweet “sparkling” wine. It was heavily advertised and became symbolic of the Miami Vice lifestyle, much more than a reputation for being a good wine. Some would say it was never drinkable. I’d keep it as a display bottle or empty and use it as a candleholder/conversation piece.
