The spill occurred about 15 minutes ago, and is being kept wet. We are currently trying milk and white wine w/ baking soda on two patches. Any other suggestions? The carpet is beige and we are renting, so ahh! Thanks!

If it’s fresh, just spray with water and sponge up. Do not rub – blot! What do the milk and white wine do other than create different stains?
Try salt. I heard that will absorb the wine and then you vacuum. wash any remaining stain with oxi clean.
blot with clorox 2
Salt first then cover with folded paper towel and step on it to blot thoroughly. If there is still stain left try the white wine again but NOT the milk. You do not want to add more things to it creating a complex stain. Do NOT use bleach because it can remove the color from the rug OR discolor it. Try Oxyclean if there is still a stain after trying the above suggestions.
