Raspberry asked:
There is white wine spilt on the carpet, so is there any way to get it properly out, without using any expensive or rare cleaning chemicals. Just a method is fine.
Thanks for the answers:)

Spray it with soda water the soak up with paper towels usually works.Stain remover soap is good to – rub it on wipe it off.
Give this a try – it’s from an article on tough stains over at the Scott Common Sense Community
The longer a spill is left untreated, the greater the chances of it setting so follow these steps as quickly as possible: First, remove excess wetness by blotting the stain with dry ScottĀ® Towels. Scrubbing can damage the carpet pile and push the stain even deeper into your carpet. Next, mix 1/2 teaspoon of dishwashing soap or fine fabric detergent with one cup of warm water. Apply a small amount at a time, blotting with a paper towel, and repeat until the stain is removed. Don’t give up – this might take a while! Once the stain is gone, rinse the area with cold water and blot dry with paper towels to remove residue from the cleaning solution.
Spot clean it using a liquid cleaning agent. Test the cleaning agent first in a small not-so-noticeable part of the carpet to see if it would react negatively on the carpet.
