Here’s a tasty celery soup sans alcohol.
1 large bunch celery
2 tablespoons flour
2 tabelspoons vegetable oil
5 cups water and 5 cubes chicken boullion OR 5 cups chicken broth
Slice the celery into small pieces, toss it in the flour and fry it in the bottom of the pot until it is translucent and the flour is a golden brown. Add the 5 cups of water (bring to a boil and then add boullion cubes) or the 5 cups of broth and bring to a boil. Cook for approximately 30 minutes, and then depending on how chunky you like it, you can puree the entire thing or puree part of it and add it to the rest. Season individual servings with pepper to taste, and I usually make some quick rye bread croutons for it.
No, don’t use grape juice. It has too much sugar in it. Just use some chicken boullion or plain water and add a bit more seasoning.
Even if you do use the alcohol, it will cook out and the soup will be non-alcoholic, provided it is cooked long enough after the wine is added. The wine will leave a flavor, which is the reason for it being part of the recipe. You will be able to smell when the alcohol is gone, the smell will change.
You could also just replace the amount of wine called for with chicken or vegetable stock.

Grape juice is too sweet. Omit it add more water or vegtable stock. I wouldn’t let the alcohol cook off, becuz u r taking it to school. u might get in trouble for just thinking about using it.
No- grape juice is much too sweet. If you don’t want to use wine in a dish you can use chicken broth or just plain water.
Although made from the same ingredients White grape juice and white wine will give two very different tastes to your soup. You would not want to use the juice because it would be too sweet. As others have said use chicken broth, or water. I would also suggest that you could use cream or milk in it’s place. I do not believe that you would want to use vinegar since that would be too tart. The soup will not be quite the same as when you did use wine but it will still be good and nutritious.
