Can someone recommend a crisp, buttery white wine for the summer?

I dont usually drink white wine except in the heat of the summer. Does anyone have a recommendation for a relatively inexpensive ($10 or less) white wine to sip as I sit in my patio, watching the warm LA sun go down?

I enjoy a Dry Riesling! But it sounds to me as though you would be a Chardonnay fan. Crisp, buttery, dry, and oakey…I’m partial to New York State Finger Lakes Wines….don’t think you have access to them in LA. But if you ever get the chance…try them! They are fantastic!
Try an Alsacian wine such as a Pinot Gris. However when you want to spend a bit more, do yourself a big favor and pick up a bottle of Olivier Leflaive Freres 2001 Meursault.
Either rosemount chardonnay from austrialia or Simi-simi is excellent from california
Crisp and Buttery, with out a doubt Kendall Jackson , Savignon Blanc. Try 2003
Australian chardonnays aren’t half bad and you can get a magnum for $10-15. Alice White is a label I’ve used fwhen value is the most important ingredient. I don’t drink whites too often, either, and I usually **** chardonnay. The Aussie version of this varietal is un-oaked and has the crispness and butteriness you are looking for. Viognier is another white that I enjoy occasionally in the summer but it usually prices a bit higher.
Seems to me if a wine was crisp it wouldn’t be buttery and vice versa.
However, check out Rueda White from Spain. it’s Citrusly, clean and crisp. Spanish wines are the best value around. American wines are overpriced.
