Question posed by Ambee: How can I figure out how much beer and wine we need at our wedding? Is there a website w/ a drink calculator?
What kind of beer, and types of wine would you suggest we get? I was thinking of white zin, merlot, and chard.

Beer or wine with food?

A question from johnpnj: Beer or wine with food?
Usually, it’s more common to pair wines with foods, but I personally find the taste of beer to go better with anything I eat.
Does anyone else agree with this?
Why or why not?

I agree. A pint of Harp goes well with Corned beef, cabbage and potatoes!

What is the right way to consume red wine?

Mab asked:

What is the right way to consume red wine? Chilled? or with ice-cubes? or just at room temperature? I know people drink chilled beer, but wine beats me!!! Which is better in terms of taste and health? Red wine? White wine?

I was reading a recipe that called for red wine in the beef stew, I was surprised to see that they didn’t mention the type of red wine.
I’m a beer gal, I wouldn’t know a good wine from rotgut,

I am planning a romantic evening for my anniversary and would like to know what else pairs nicely with wine. I would like to know a good wine, not dry! And what pairs nicely. We usually drink mixed drinks or beer. But what the heck it’s supposed to be a nice romantic evening and wanted something different.

I’ve never really drank too much wine only beer, but now that I have a baby and I’m nursing I can only have one drink and I thought it would be good to have a red wine. I think I would like something on the sweeter side though. Any suggestions?

I’ve never tried wine before, only beer, and my friends want me to go out tonight with them for my first. I want to know when the effects of cheap, red wine’ll start kicking in for a first-timer like myself. Thanks in advance!
I’m not asking about the hangover (although maybe I should be DX) but rather: when do I start getting tipsy? I don’t plan on going out and getting drunk, although who knows.

Other than that wine is more expensive? Is good, carefully crafted beer inferior to wine and why?
