I just bought a 2004 Novelty Hill Merlot from Columbia Valley.
~harmonious blend of black cherry, raspberry, and mocha flavors comebined with undercurrent of inviting oak.~
I searched their web site wanting to learn more about it, but they only have different wines. Either Merlots from different years, or from a different grape valley. How come? Is my wine rare? How come the one I bought isn’t on there?
How long is wine in a box good for after it is opened?

I am interested in planning a girsl trip to Temecula for wine tasting. We don’t want to drive once we start drinking (for obvious reasons) so I was hoping to find a hotel that had wine tasting withing walking distance or on site. Also hoping to get a reasonable rates. Any recommendations?

Friday, December 26th, 2008Can you suggest a red wine that isn’t too strong?

I have thought about getting some red wine for it’s health benefits. I thought I would have a glass in the evening. I don’t drink anything (beer, wine coolers, etc) so I have no idea which red wine would be “soft” enough for me. I have had sips of wine at like Olive Garden and those were very strong. I thought they actually tasted like stinky feet! Anyway, I just want a daily red wine that isn’t too strong. Any suggestions?
